Rossignol s4's or k2 revivals

ok so im looking for a good park ski that isnt to stiff but can handle 30-35 foot jumps

i dont do rails to much but I want the ski to be able to handle box's/rails if i hit them.

which ski do you think is better for me

will be putting on marker griffons as the bindings

i am 5'10 188 and a level 3 skier

despite its stiffness, the narrow waist and super pop of the s4 makes it a great rail ski. it will also hold up super well on jumps and i will give you a dollar if you manage to break them(the are practically indestructible)

also in my opnion the s4 is a better all mountain ski than the revivals and will still carve a mean turn and is a great ski.

its your choice, pic a graphic you like. i have all three years and they all ski the same.

if u get the s4 i would suggest this years, but i thing the K2 revival is more for you. and i have heard some bad things about the s4.

everyone seemed to have a raging boner over the k2 domains and revivals on this site, so i got them as my ski this season and i dont really like them, the zero camber makes them feel dead they have almost no pop at all

I love how where claiming this know. Here goes another essay (should be doing my english essay right now, /Fail).

S4's have been the same since the scratches from before the SAS line, only change has been the graphics. Their also the same as next years scratch and kev/xav pro's.

For reference, I'm 5'8 130lbs-ish, expert skier/soso park skier. My s4's are size 174, mounted centre with PX10's.

Awesome skis, so frigin light and poppy thanks to Rossi's Weight Reduction System (go on their website, don't feel like explaining it.) Their really durable, hit so many rails and a ton of rock in the trees and they look mint after 16 days. Topsheets are also really durable compared to other skis i've owned, my volkl ledges were shredded cosmetically after 2 days.

So yah, get them in a 181 and you will be so happy. Also skip the griffons (If you don't already have them) and get fks 140, way more durable and your a bigger guy. Griffons are mostly plastic in important areas (parts connecting heel piece to plate).

I would also love to hear some bad things about this ski (wink wink, nudge nudge, @ _SEA_)

i allredy got the markers on my fujatives so i would just remount them on the s4's if i get them

so if i understand correctly..the sr's are the same as the scratchs?

but thats besides the matter, i would like to steer you away from griffons... i decided to get some and i regret it i would say go for STH 12 driver or if you can FKS14's not griffons...

I personally love it. It represents a scene from the Bible (not religious, but as an avid S4 fan you've probably read the tails of the skis). Something about the girl on the 2011's make me feel awkward.

In reality they are different skis that will perform differently... The revivals have a near zero camber and a mellow rocker which will make them a little better for butter. They are also pretty stiff underfoot so they will take jumps pretty well. The s4 is full camber, will carve a great turn and are pretty stiff and poppy, the s4s are a killer ski.

P.s. They havnt changed much since 06/07 except the WEIGHT... I have a pair of the caution tape ones and they are heavy as shit, ski design has come a long way in 5 years I guess, so I would recommend go newer rather than older

You are wrong i have both and the halo is definitely not a noodle compared to the s4. Despite the early rise. I like the halo a lot better in the park but if your doing anything outside the park as well, hands down go with any of the s4 models throughout the last couple of years. The only real draw back i find with the s4's are thin edges as they seem to crack fairly easily but they kill it so hard on jumps.

in fact there are no flaws because if you do a detune before you ski them, the edges will hold forever

^skied em 5 days before detuning them and the edges rolled over a bit underfoot, nothing a good sharpen won't fix though. They are bombproof!

I do in fact detune them. I just do a lot of disasters. My ghettos are missing edge, and my pommiers have a couple cracks. Compared to my armadas the edges are not bombproof but they still hold up better then most company's.
