Missing Skiier At Crystal Mt. WA

Our Friend Paul Melby, 40, was last seen March 1 in the mountain's High Campbell area. Searchers have combed about 2,000 acres in the ski area, but found no trace of him.

He was reported to be wearing a Brown Jacket.

This is scary. It's been in the Times a bunch. Best of luck to him and the S&R team, but at this point, it's looking unlikely. :(

what's weird about this is that on Sunday (3 days ago), I rode the lift at white with some random guy who said he knew him and was on the SAR team looking for him. that's how I heard about this. he seemed so casual about it, though. super weird conversation...

I was skiing with a friend of mine who was telling me about His friend that died at whistler about a month ago. He got really choked up. And i mean its just one of those times you don't say shit. Because you want to respect Him and his friend.

yea poor dude. especially since hella cats knew him and he was known as an experienced skier. 6+ of snow in a week is sketch when skiing in the trees at crystal. tree wells get real gnar real fast. its going to until spring when they find him. RIP.

Sorry to hear about this. Washington isnt having a good week for skiers. A friend of mine was killed by an avalanche last weekend on Mount Cashmere near Leavenworth. Hopefully they find him
