UH ,. no where in LA is only an hour form anything else. I bet it takes 3-4 hours to get to the beach just from traffic ! Havent you been to LA before ? It's a ShitShow.

San Bernardino blows massive nuts. Cal Sate's are commuter schools and the campus won't be that active but hey it's school. You are close to Mt. High and Bear / Summit but you're living in one of the shittiest cities in the state. Inland Empire is a smogy dump

LA and the surrounding 50 mile radius is a complete mess

Lol it's not that bad and it depends which way you're going at what time. Heading towards LA in the morning sucks ass and leaving the LA area in the afternoon also blows.

LA is a great place to party...although the traffic and materialism does suck bigtime.

I go to University of Redlands, which is 10 minutes east of San Berno. Compared to SB, the town is much nicer, U of R is a good enough school with some good programs (business, psych, Johnston). Redlands is actually a very pretty place to be, if you drive up into the hills covered in multi-million dollar homes, there are some reaaally nice overlook smoke spots.
Its closer to Bear (if you take the back way through Mentone, which is the quickest way right now). Its close to Riverside, which is a real nice town. There are some really quality dispensaries around Riverside/Bloomington area if that's your thing. The beach is 50 minutes depending on traffic, San Diego is less than two hours depending on traffic, and well worth it, SD is beaaautiful. LA is an hour, also depending on traffic. Palm Desert is 45 minutes away and Joshua Tree is about an hour and a half roughly.
People say the IE is a shithole, but Redlands is nicely tucked away from the crap

Yeah Redlands is where I'd live in the IE if I had to or canyon lake. My buddy plays football for you guys and he doesnt mind it too much.

Ya, its hot as shit during the summer down there, and they dont have blued skies during the summer and spring...and fall because of the immense amount of smog that just chills there.

i visited my friend at redlands two weeks ago, liked it a lot.

I know the area well, but know nothing about the school. San Bernardino is a shithole. I believe it is regarded as the meth capital of the US, and have no problem believing this. I would NEVER want to live there, or wish it on anyone. As has been said, Redlands is much, much nicer. Look elsewhere for an education.
