i still find the comment/feeling "its the internet, i don't take it too seriously," funny. the majority of us spend more time on the internet than anything else, and if we don't its a religious activity to check our facebook, email, NS, and so on. i think the internet is one of the most important psychological tools used by all of us. so really, there is no "i don't take the internet too seriously," its what we do, its part of who we are, and really, more emotion is shown hiding behind the keyboard than most one on one interaction.
the guys i work with make fun of me for taking NS seriously. i do take it seriously and joke with NS as well, but really, most of my work is for people who like NS. if you guys aren't stoked, i'm not doing my job right. so ya, i do respect NS, watch the videos, read forums, all of it. if i was a high school teacher and spoke with teenagers all day long no one would bat an eye, but because i get on here and type, post videos, whatever, people look down on it. lame. its sort of like the person who drinks wine every night, but would talk shit if you smoked a spliff every night. not really, but i just wanted to post that thought as well.
as far as skier of the year, tough decision, we'll see, my pick would be sammy at this point.
