Coreupt looking good,

After lossing riders like TJ and Colby, I thought Coreupt went to big to fast and with the blow out sale i thought forsure corupt was going out of business. I was in my local shop the other day and we were looking at nexts years skis, the rep had lots to say about what they are doing for the future, The blowout sale actually got them good money, Not many people would of paid 450 for these skis. Ive seen alot of them coming around latley, and for anyone who has them how do they ride??

I will definatly look into them next year.

I have this year's TJ Pros and Candide Pow and love them both!

I used to ski on salomon suspects and I can definitely say that I prefer my TJ Pro's :
-they are stiffer underfoot but still plenty playful in the tips and tails
-the topsheet still looks awesome after several days in
-durability wise they seem to be pretty solid up to now!

and for the POWs:
-CRAZY good ski allaround and they real do float nicely in pow
-they are just a nice to have fun with on groomers too
-Really liked to jump with them too, even if they are a fatter ski, they are maniable
-They are also pretty light

Take my opinion with a grain of salt because I might be a little biased, but I really enjoy skiing coreUPT skis and for all of you who only find bad things to say about them; I have only one thing to tell you:

try them out, you will be happily surprised ! :)

I ride this years TJ Pros and they're sick. I used to ride suspects and those things got destroyed within days. My Coreupts have zero damage to the edges after many rails, and very minimal top sheet chipping. I can honestly say that I am surprised how strong those skis are and the graphics are pimp. Next years skis look pretty dope too so I may try and snatch up a pair.

my friend just got the tj's off level nine sports. I believe his edges will be done by the end of this season. they look thin and they look like they're wearing down pretty quick.

im not a fan of thin edged skis.

ya thats a company skiers should stand behind..

rebranded horrible skis, somehow everyone should drop more $ to them....hoping they "finally got it right" & rebranded looks?

Waaaayy too many better local & "into the sport" companies out now.

Remember kids, you can help your sport with your $$$ and help companies that didnt try to sell you rebranded skis. Dont fall for the bullshit

Why the hate, man? At least they don't fall apart like Boones. I haven't ridden the new skis, so I can't say anything about them, but the only time Coreupt did that was the first year. Now, their skis are made in the Dynastar factory, but completely designed by Coreupt, like everybody's favorite company, Line. Please don't tell me they aren't into the sport, either, since they are run by a big name pro freeskier in Europe, Guerlain Cicheraut (sp?).

Coreupt has as main goal to offer good quality/price skis. This is why they only sell online (to avoid distribution costs and store profits); coreupt watts every kid out there to be able to ski on nice skis without totally breaking their wallet.

Did they proper refund people with broken or completely jacked up Corrupts? Considering most had all the edges rip out, snapped tails etc?

Thats why I bring the hate, they couldnt stand behind a product 2 years ago. Why would they stand behind it now?

I dont care what factory they are made in now/or then. I care about a owner that GIVES A FUCK about others in the sport.

They havent proven anything and I have no idea why kids on here still jock there shit.

Do you know what Armada's customer service was like in the year they were founded? That is to say, did you personally buy a pair of "Armada's" (actually rossis), break them, and have them replaced by Armada? Same questions regarding coreUPT.

Now consider that coreUPT sold those skis, and continue to sell skis, for considerably less than their competition (e.g Armada) despite launching in the midst of a global financial crisis.

An owner that "gives a fuck about the sport"? Well CoreUPT's main stakeholder is Guerlain Chicherit, 4-time freeride world champion. Armada's main stakeholder is a British businessman who lives in Switzerland and has nothing to do with skiing.

Your attitude stinks of ignorance and prejudice. Learn some shit, grow the fuck up and realise that CoreUPT is doing really good things for the sport. Like making really fucking good skis at attractive prices, giving funding to epic projects like Candide Kamera and Candide's new movie project, and supporting loads of little-known french rippers, being almost totally responsible for holding Euro X Games.

And Guerlain is a cool dude that is stoked on skiing. I can tell you that from personal experience.

I am not a kid.

Also, I know my skiing.

I worked in ski shops for 7years while I went to and after college. I was a ski racer for a great number of years, and next year will be 30th season on skis. I've now been freeriding for 10years and have been to places all over North America to ski, I compete in a great number of my regional competitions and am still racking up some podiums at my ancient age of 31. So please, check out my quiver, I've owned and skied a whole bunch of sick skis, and then read my review on my Candide Pows.
They are by all factors excellent skis in my opinion, and are offered at a phenomenal price point. I am not sure from what experience you derive your negative view, be it personal experience, here say, or some predisposed prejudice, but I think you should offer more constructive feedback as opposed to unsubstantiated hate.

It is like the old saying "you're either helping or hindering" and I think without some more constructive feedback you're just hindering.

i have tj pros and they are the only ski ive ridden that has lasted me an entire season of riding park so far... without an edge ripping out... without a delam... etc.

they are super solid and great playful skis. i will be sticking with them.

If you are suprised by rebranding you need to take a step back and evaluate the consumer world you are now a part of.

I own a pair of TJ Pros and I really enjoy them for groomers and park. I've got a review up if anyone's interested. I think most of the criticism of CoreUPT is coming from kids who still think they're selling rebranded Dynastars (they're not) or who're just jumping on the hate train because everyone else is doing it.

I seriously doubt Coreupt is motivated for good of the children. Don' t get allwishy washy for companies, especially those with factories in Asia. Let' s not be so naive, they are cutting out the middle man and minimizing their responsibilities to the workers to increase profits....They make their skis cheaper because they have less overhead and in turn it helps them sell more. They are worth exactly what you pay for them, no illusions to be made.

God, for some reason I am reminded of PJ Cliche and Bling......(rebranded Harts)

As was mentioned in some of the the earlier posts in this thread, we’re a young company, and we’ve certainly had our stumbles in the last 3 years. Nothing that’s happened during the course of the last 3 years, whether it be dealing with retailers or the end consumer has ever been malicious, poorly thought out, overlooked perhaps, but not malicious. One of the challenges of being a young company, is that resources are very limited, and when based in Europe you often deal with the problems directly in front of you and can be overwhelmed, which is exactly what happened to us. In the last 6 months Coreupt has been able to bring on a dedicated team in North America, and we’re super stoked to bring the same energy we’ve been able to dedicate in Europe to the US and Canada.

To all you folks out there riding CoreUPTs now, thanks for the support, we couldn’t do it without you guys. We’ve got some new skis we’re fired up about, that we think you’ll be down to slay it on. Be sure to look out for our demo truck, that’ll be touring North America doing demos.

The price point for retailers on next years shit is spot on IMO. They stopped by our shop a couple weeks ago to show us some stuff and I was pretty impressed with what you got for your buck.

Park skis around here need to be under the $450 price point or kids arent interested...The Yard (stiff, camber park ski)and the Casper (mid-fat all mtn freestyle with tip and tail rocker) for next season are looking really good and both are under that price point.

excellent response. I wouldn't worry too much about people like freeballin. customer relations and dealing with warrantee is of course hugely important, but where and when the grievance is legitimate. there will always be assholes, and you just need to accept that they're assholes and keep on truckin.

so long as you keep on making great skis the vast majority will recognise that and thats the best you can do.

Ok so im seriously looking into some tj pros, i see alot of people have them but no one talks about skiing any pow in them. i ski both park and pow and would like to know how they hold up in pow. 5'1 100lbs

Not well. They're 89 underfoot and don't exactly have an agressive shovel, plus they're center-mounted and symmetrical. Not much float. You'll get knocked around a lot in the chopped-up stuff as well. They're a groomer / park ski. You can do much better for an all-mountain park and pow ski, go wider for a start, and look into something with rocker in the tips and tails.

ktd619, as was mentioned if you're thinking park/pipe the TJ's a solid choice, if you want something to give you a bit more float the POW is a solid choice at 102 underfoot and a soft tail for slashing.

Ryno, guessing you saw Pete roll through a few weeks back. That Banger is way fun, its a butter delightand you can still rail it on hard pack, you'll be stoked when you get on it.
