Yup, we'll all have barcode tattoos in the next year.
I don't like the idea of the rfid tag in my licence and that's why it stays in the aluminum sleeve. Fuck all that shit no one needs to track where I go.
as someone who really didnt understand twitter and hated it upt o about a week ago....i made a name and must say its really a awsome website. People are hilarious and following people is pretty cool. Dont hate till you try it such a cool website.
I did a research paper on RFID last term, there is some pretty fucked up and cool shit that can be done with this technology. I don't like this application personally.
In all honesty I think this is just a really poorly thought out product/business plan, IF they are serious. There's just no way WESC has anywhere near enough market presence to pull of such feats outlined in their video - it is impossible, 'nuff said.
On the other hand, if they intend it as a marketing program it's not bad. The point is that the point of this "product" is neither innovation or creativity as they claim in the video, but rather a ploy to spread the WESC name on the web through exactly this kind of attention.
As a final note, the comparison they make with Nike+ is just atrocious. Another reason to believe this is a joke/marketing (not a bad marketing ploy might I add), but otherwise I would just attribute this to stoned skaters that just happen to be running a business.
This. The specific uses they outlined in the video are kind of meh, but at least this will serve as a platform for way cooler/better innovations in the future
Cool idea but will not catch on for awhile. Also this doesn't really have anything to do with barcode tattoos other than they are the same basic idea...
