New skis. Had shitty marker 11.0 bindings on last skis and they snapped on like a normal wipeout on a 15ft jump. Im looking to stay under 200$. I am getting k2 Domain skis which are 90mm wide underfoot, so brake must fit accordingly. I ride 80% rails, 20% jumps (biggest 30ft) so i dont think the din needs to be that high... but idk. I am 6'0 and weigh 140lbs.
PLEASE POST ANY LINKS OF GOOD BINDINGS FOR MY NEEDS.
i ride salomon sth 12's on domains. found that they are great bindings cept i landed switch once and my brakes caught and ripped out. thats an aviodable issue tho (bend brakes upwards). i weigh 145 and am about 5"8. i mostly ride rails as well tho i occasionally hit jumps. biggest hit has been 50 feet since i bought my new setup.
I find i like the design of them as well because i used to have rosi pivots and the severe ass rapege that happens when you fall backwards onto the heelpeice is far less.
I would stay away from the newer generation rosi bindings because the brakepeice is almost made entirely of plastic and cracks on landings. i have a friend who went through 5 brakepeices on his. most of the damage was from constant impact from coming off of rails to ice or harder snow.
for reference i have my dins set at 9.5 all the way around and i wouldnt think about going any less... ever.
enjoy the domains im actually planning on buying a second pair i love them so much
your gonna get what you pay for. less money=cheaper binding. i just got look pivot 18's, and they are FANTASTIC. i'm a big guy though, so i need a burly binding. you're pretty light so look into some pivot 12's, they'd be perfect
