Vingette Help in FCE

who knows how to adjust every clip at once when you added the vingette effect? I know how to adjust the vingette on every indivual clip just not the whole project.

any help would be much appreciated.

Probably just shouldn't use a vignette.

make a custom gradient and layer it over all your clips. dont use teh vignetting effect in final cut because it sucks dick.

or just dont use it.

watch the color correction tutorial from abek, dl the vignette file in the size you need (1080 or 720) and then put it as a second video track and stretch it to the length of the rest of your clips. I like to turn the opacity down a little when it do it, makes it more subtle. let me know if it works

Really? The first edit i didn't add any vignette and the second edit was the FIRST time i ever used a vignette and i used a vignette maybe once since then. Just trying to help this kid out so he doesn't learn the hard way like I did. Now kindly, go fuck off.

Yes. Also that shitty blur-vignette thing that seems to be really popular just now. Stop it, please. I think MSP even did some of that in their last film.

aahahah you suck. whatever lens you used for the first video sucked shit. Overexposure in the centre of the frame was brighter than my bald grandfathers head. What were you thinking?

you guys are brutal. yes weve all thought vigs looks s00per cool back in the day so we used them. but we learned that they are just ammature and stupid...like film burns with our digital cameras. give him a break

film burns, like vignettes can be cool. they are only amateur and stupid if they are used in amateur, stupid ways. both tools can be used well and can really add to your project if you know what you're doing.

on another note, and no hate intended, i'm tired of people hating on film burn with digital footage. Many filmers strive to replicate a film look through colors and other tools such as 24p, so why not add another element to try to create the illusion? the problem is when people use film burn on blatantly digital footage, which i know most of us are probably guilty of

well to answer your question OP. i don't remember if it works in final cut express or not, but after you get it how you want for one clip. then do a cmd+c to copy the clip, then go highlight the next clip and hit option+v and it might bring up another menu with a bunch of property check boxes. then just check the filters box and it will apply all the filters you just copied from the last clip onto the new clip. so you can highlight everything and do it all at once if you want.

like i said tho, it works in FCP not sure about FCE
