I am considering getting some rockered skis for park riding in the east and am wondering if anyone has any opinion here.
I weigh 208 and am 6'2" and ski jumps so i am looking at something like next years armada TST 192, which i just found today. Currently I ski on a pair of K2 189 kung fujas and love their size and length. I got a pair of 183 clicks (4frnt) and they seem almost too short, so I am riding them on rails mostly.
I am interested in the long rockered ski for like killer butters and such, and I like the stability offered in long skis (and 192 is only 3 cm longer than my k2s and someone told me they measure long [acutally longer than the measure]).
I have a more realistic opportunity of getting armada ar7's from next year, which are not rockered, and i know I will enjoy.
Does anyone have any experience with riding rockered skis off jumps in the east. I am wondering about stability on the landings... do they wash out when weight is applied to the tails, or does the rocker help you to spring back? When landing in the back seat is it harder to move forward? Is there even a noticed difference.
I am pretty sure I will be getting ar7s because of the price i can get them for, but am definitely interested in new rockered designs and technologies.
Awesome
