you don't.
It all depends on how aggressive you ski, how many times a season you ski, what kind of terrain it is that you ski, and how you use your ski.
In my case with my Blends, I'd consider myself a pretty aggressive skier, those 2 seasons ago (when I had the Blends), I skied a lot. I was in Grade 12 back then, didn't have the fullest schedule. So I was up at Kicking Horse a lot, along with travel. The terrain too effected it, it's Kicking Horse, I consider it a pretty steep and aggressive mountain if you know where to ski. Finally, I used the Blend for a Big Mountain ski, not it's strongest side since it's considered an All Mountain ski.
Hence, all the abuse from skiing on it aggressively, it lost it's life and pop.
Not just Line skis too, (the same season,) my friend had a pair of Salomon Czars, skis just like me (more aggressive than me now, I'm not skiing much this season). He's your size, but about 130lbs (maybe shorter). His skis were in the same condition as my Blends by the end of the season.
