Waiting tables or delivering?

i picked up a few job apps at some local restaurants and im wondering which box to check off. what pays better/sucks less? i'll be 18 this summer so i can serve alc. i tried to apply to some of the classier restaurants that might tip better.

Delivering would be easier, get to listen to music, have to deal less with people. Waiting would be harder but you'd get way more in tips. You get a ridiculous amount of money in tips if you wait tables anywhere that's somewhat nice.

if you/the place has a gps, and they pay gas, id deliver, seems chiller and less customer ass kissing required

i would do waiting tables because if you are nice and really helpful for people you can make a lot in tips..but from time to time you can get those stuck up people that no matter how good the service is they give you like a penny for a tip

yeea im thinking tables. i don't mind dealing with the occasional asshole not tipping me if i'll make more money in general. and sounds mroe interesting/stimulating than driving around following a gps

i made way more as a delivery person then the waitresses at the pizza place i worked at depends on the spot. you get paid an actual wage 8-10 bucks an hour as a delivery person as opposed to the 2-3 bucks an hour as a server. and you just get to straight chill a lot of the time and not do shit. servers always have some stupid task they have to do. i think my delivery job was my favorite job yet.

waiting will def get you more money at most places, but delivering will probably suck a lot less. then again i wouldnt really want to put wear and tear on my car for my job and shit but that depends on the condition of your car i guess. i feel like delivering can be really hit or miss, it could suck ass and people could give you shitty tips but i know when i get delivery i tip them really well and if they blaze ill smoke them up really quick (if you blaze a lot yuoure obviously doing it when a pizza shows up)

don't you have to buy gas if you're the delivery guy? and seeing as how it's like 3.50 a gallon in lots of places, doesn't seem like a good idea to me. plus you won't have to drive around in shitty weather or put miles on your car if you're a waiter.

waiting tables is def the way to go. I'm a waitress now and on a good night i make over $100 in tips. it's totally worth dealing with the assholes because there are also awesome people out there too. For instance, I met this guy who owns a local car dealership and he gave me a discount on my car!
