DVD to DIVX or AVI

Hey does anyone know how to convert a dvd to a divx for the it will fit on a 700mb disk if so is their any free software that can be used thanks for the help

go to cnet download section and do a search DivX convertor or something along those lines.

you need to get a DVD ripper first i think, message Fetus540 he gave me some of Forward from his DVD and put it in a diffrent codecx
