HELP trip to WA for spring break and im sick what should i take for it
So every time I go out west i get sick. Usually strep throat. I think ive got a headcold. the altitude usually fucks with my balance and my ability to ski well. anyone have this problem and have any good solutions....
I don't think getting sick (strepthroat, a cold, etc) relates to altitude. That just sounds like a low immune system and you catch shit while traveling. Get on those veggies and vitamins!
The dizziness, balance etc is totally elevation and unfortunately is extremely common. Drink a shit ton of water, keep enough healthy food in your stomach and don't try to be superman and overdo it. Here in CO we sell little spray cans of Oxygen at any convenient store, we also have oxygen bars. I'd imagine Washington is the same. Oxygen will definitely help with the dizziness, headaches, balance, etc... but if you use it you'll never give your body a chance to get semi use to it.
(It takes 3 months at altitude for your body to adjust because that's the time it takes to create the extra hemoglobin in your blood.)
