Can I sync just one playlist from a friends computer to my iPod without losing all of my own music that is already on it?

not really. when you go to plug your ipod back in your computer it will resync but he can download idump on his computer (only if its a mac) or other itunes file transfer programs for PC's.

gotta search around, there are only one or two that actually work anymore for pc

just click "manually manage music" or something like that, then you can just click and drag the playlist you want

just click on the ipod on the leeft toolbar in itunes, then check the box that says "manually manage music"

get a flashdrive, put all the music that you want from his itunes on it
take that to your computer, plug it in transfer music. make sure you save the files
and sync

this as well. you can sync any ipod to any computer/itunes, but when you go back to another computer, your ipod will resync with your own itunes.

yes you can. Instead of "syncing" it just click and drag the playlist onto the ipod.
