utah state sucks major D.
People and partys are better at the U of U. Plus dorms are 30 minutes from every major utah ski resort.

if your an engineer usu is probably better. It isn't for me because there is no film and media major, only journalism. The town is great for living, everything is really close and the free bus system is awesome. Beaver sucks and its a ghost town on the weekend though. The students really keep to themselves and have there little group of friends from highschool. I feel like the U is a much better "college" experience. Just my 2 cents.

I just can't stand being 20 years old and having to watch out for wedding rings.

youre pretty far off on USU being better with engineering.. utah is higher ranked than USU by quite a lot, but everything else was dead on

Dude utah state is nothing compared to u of u. U of U is in the top 100 schools, has a top 30 business program, engineering and med programs. The med program is more like top 5 and the U also is like #2 research school too. Utah state sucks.

i would highly reccomend starting and finishing your transfer app within the next few days...sending out your transcripits and all that bs takes a while. In the process of transfering now

I'm a Junior now, but I really cant decide how interested in the U I am. I've heard a ton of mixed messages as far as people loving it and people hating it. Its really only the U or CU for me.

Anybody care to influence my decision in either direction?

It isn't in the top 100 schools or top 50 in any of those programs. Where the fuck are you getting this data from? You can rationalize the school all you want and list of made up rankings so your parents pay the bill but the school is a joke.

If you took the SATs you're in. Good luck getting an actual job when you graduate.

ill take the bait :) Junior year I came out and visited here (from Ohio) and after my trip I was sure I wouldnt end up here. Through a series of decisions I ended up deciding to come here (over Yale, yes YALE) and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. I literally cant imagine being anywhere else. It may not be quite as much of a party school (although I get drunk every time I want to) but the people make up for it by a lot. Its awesome being at a college that seems to revolve around skiing and share common interests with almost everyone. Ive made the best friends ever (after just six months) and being so close to skiing is a great stress relief from school work. Everyone is super active and where most schools dont have much to do outside of campus life/partying everyone here rock climbs, hikes, longboards, skateboards, skis/boards, etc etc etc and I have had a blast here. I LOVE almost all of my professors/classes and some of the oppurtunities that I have had so far here I am confident could not happen anywhere else. We are now in the pac-12 which will only bring even more to the campus, and our sports games are pretty awesome.. if you have any more questions just let me know/pm me! Oh and the mormons dont effect anything except making the campus/city clean. There are a good amount of mormons but most of them are jack mormon and the ones that arent dont really effect anything

where are you looking? They are 51st in the world in business, 24th in biomedical engineering (top five if you factor in research), top 50 in engineering in the world, and is 48 ranked med school in the world. Oh and we topped MIT this year in business startups despite having 1/4 of their money.. im not sure if youre trolling or what

this is great to hear. i didn't realize how close the skiing was to the U (not that that's the determining factor at all, but is a major part). fuck usu, you guys have me switched.

depends on what youre looking for. If youre looking for a ton of shit goin on then go chapel glen preferably 803, if youre looking for super nice rooms then go sage point and get into the suites.. they are ridiculously nice you get a pretty big single plus a huge living room. In the beginning of the year we had pong tables set up in my buddies living room in sage point (wouldnt recommend it)
