Hey everyone, a good friend of mine's uncle recently competed in an ironman competition out west and then found out shortly afterward that he has a form of leukemia. He is currently in need of a bone marrow transplant in order to fix the problem. The best way you could help would be to sign up on www.onematch.ca and to possibly donate (they'd take a sample with mouth swabs sent in the mail and you could potentially be a match for anyone, not just him), however I don't know if you can actually even do in that in the states and thats totally up to you.
What I REALLY WANT is if you would go to this link http://www.mississauga.com/sports/article/958753--ironman-battles-for-life and click on the like (thumbs up) button at the top of the page. The newspaper may print the article about him if there is enough interest, and by printing it hopefully more people will sign up for onematch and he might be saved. He's in the fight for his life right now.
SPARKNOTES: help save someones life by liking this article so it will run in the newspaper and hopefully people will sign up to donate bone marrow which could save my friend's uncles life. http://www.mississauga.com/sports/article/958753--ironman-battles-for-life
