Daft Punk 'Tron' soundtrack gets remixed...

Pretty exciting for any Daft Punk fans on here and I know there's a few...
Artists remixing include; The Glitch Mob, Boys Noize, M83, Photek and many more.

Not gonna lie there are a couple of artists I wouldn't of picked to do the remixes but it should still be a pretty solid album.

Have you heard their album Daft Club? I love Daft, don't get me wrong- they're literally the reason I'm DJing and running a club today, seeing Alive 2007 changed my life- but some of the remixes on Daft Club were disappointing to a lot of people. The dudes have some interesting tastes in who they choose to remix their work that a lot of people don't really "get" since it's Daft Punk, but hey man... that's what makes them Daft Punk. I mean, that NERD remix of HBFS is almost painful for me to listen to, but that's what I love about Daft- they do whatever the fuck they want and it's a work ethic that's created an incredible and diverse body of work.

Solid remix album, btw.

Firstly soo jealous you got to see Alive. Daft Punk are still number one on mine and alot of my friends lists of people to see live.
And yeah you're absolutely right about them having 'interesting tastes' in who they choose and there unique outlook on making music. It definitely does make them who they are and I also love them for it.
I am just a little worried that a few of the remixes might be not quite up to scratch. I mean Pretty Lights. I know I might get hated on here for saying it but do they really deserve to be featured on a Daft Punk remix album? Not in my opinion.
But dont get me wrong i'm still real excited to hear how it comes out and so stoked to be able to talk about new Daft Punk again.

daft club was iffy but some of the remixes were sweet, especially the aerodynamic slum village remix. plus romanthony's rants in the one more time remix are hilarious. your statement doesn't apply to human after all remixes though since most of those were incredibly sick. i think they realized after daft club that they needed to pick some more reputable people. the sebastiAn remix of HAA is amazing

i'm hearing April 5th but that's very unofficial. we know how it works with daft punk: it's not true unless it comes directly from them

The Big Black Delta was so sick, Glitch mob was sick obvs, pretty lights was sick in a chill pretty lights type way and there was a remix called Boys Noize, I thought it was bare noise but was mistaken and a little choked on second glance. But yea its totally worth the 10$ on iTunes
