just no... the only thing tom has on sammy is rails and maybe a little style wise, but that all depends on who you ask.

sammys sick, i like his style. Wallisch is sick. he stomps the shit out of everything. but if i had to compare them, wallisch would come out on top for sure.

I have only ever seen Sammy grab japan, mute, or safety. wallisch has all sorts of grabs with his spins, and has so much more style on rails than sammy. but i have not seen tom do any of the tap/jibby stuff that carlson does so routinely with TGR.

honestly, i think sammy is better tom.

Even though tom has some of the sickest edits and segments, and he down right kills it.

Sammy is just one of the sickest skiers out there right now. he medals i practically every comp he is in, he can do pretty much any trick on jumps right now and hes pretty good on rails also.

if you look at that statement sober, you would see how stupid that is, casabon may have him on rails, but every dub elias does is literally perfect, and im sure if he focused only on style everyone on ns would be covered in his semen

i love B-dog as much as the next guy and i don't like elias too much but for the xgames side of things rather than the creative side of things he blows phil out of the water. i mean you can't talk too much shit about his dubs with the flawless grabs. But i would rather watch casabon ride over elias any day. im gonna stop here because i don't want this to be about another whos better than who thread

Uhmm, Tom ISN'T Sammy, so I don't expect or care to see him do a segment "like" Sammy. All the BC comments gets so tiring. Freestyle is about being "free" to have your own "style". You don't have to do BC to be a better skier, just as you don't have to do "park" to be a better skier. Both skiers are gifted in their own right.

Tom's my choice,for his style, skills, numorous segments and his fun personality. Lets not forget he won both Powder Mag Readers Poll and Freeskier Skier of the year. He is the people's choice.

Exactly. Elias is amazing in Big Air, so consistant and in my opinion flawless....I love his style!

Some people will probably bitch about this, because Wallisch won a Euro x games medal, so you might want to define that as American x games medals.

The point about skiing lines is an important one.  There are numerous elements in big mountain skiing, gs turning down big faces, spine walls, icy coulouirs, hitting big cliffs cleanly.......It is a huge arena, and it is very different from just hitting kickers. 

Sammy is starting to get into that stuff, he is beginning to develop as a big mountain skier.  He really showed me a lot in his last two TGR segments.

I don't know if Wallisch can ski big mountain, I have never seen him do it.  When CR Johnson was young, everyone at Squaw raved about how he was a real skier, before he was getting big mountain segments.
I don't hear that about Tom, but who knows.

If Wallisch were to enter the Snowbird, big mountain contest, and do well, it would really change his perception among big mountain skiers.

they are too different to compare.. just by watching sammys part in revolver and walisch's part in eye trip you can tell they are wayy different. sammy rides everything and walisch is pretty restricted to park and street.  at least thats how it seems from their parts ive seen this year

how can u people even compare wallisch with sammy. there def 2 different skiers and they each have there own way of skiing. therefore urban=tom, BC=sammy,style=tossup, park=tom=grabs tossup last but not least pokes which go to sammy
