Not sure if I remember this right, but didnt a lot of people get screwed over on pre-orders right before they shut the shop down? aka he might have had to change his name exactly 'to keep his distance from the industry' as in run from it.

i think the name change thing was that he was using his middle name instead of his first, and went back to his first when he shut the shop down.
