Well after yesterday's drop you'll look like a genius today putting your money anywhere. I'd say apple (aapl), netflix (nflx), Skyworks solutions (swks), Sirius radio (Siri), and chipotle.

invest in some high risk/high reward stocks, like startups that have the possibility of failing.
don't defer right to Blue-Chip stocks like McDonalds, Coca Cola, Johnson and Johnson, or even Apple. However, i would invest in Apple considering they released new products today, and are now servicing Verizon with the Iphone. As net sales rise, so will your earnings per share, so Apple has the potential for substantial growth.
On the other hand, these stocks have security, and unless some unforeseen mass fraud occurs, they won't be plummeting anytime soon.

This. Try to find penny stocks (if they're allowed) that rise and fall consistently. Buy em low and in large quantites, then even if they raise a tenth of a cent you've made a huge profit. Doesn't work in the real world but on simulators with no purchase cap its golden

dont just keep money in google, netflix, apple the whole time, that shit just fluctuates too much, up $8 one day down $12 the next

I'm doing something similar for my investment theory class currently. I don't know if you're allowed to invest in futures, but if you are I have been making a killing in april oil futures. Oil has been going up like crazy because of all the unrest in the middle east.

i'm too lazy, but what do the energy companies dabble in? green energy, or is it just generic? my family owns a small oil company, so the energy/oil industry is really something i'd like to look into.

Thanks guys, +k to all. ive been in it for less than a week. I figure put like 30% in a steady, large stock, some in a rising stock, and the rest in small, fluctuationg stocks. Any thoughts? Any new ideas for buys for next week?

Short toyota. They are goin to have major issues becuase of the earthquake/tsunami, an the japanese economy and the yen are all over the place. The majority of toyotas cars are manufactured in japan.

me and a friend of mine got kicked off that game in highschool because we found a way to cheat (that they have now fixed) by making hundreds of extra accounts. we pretty much corrupted the economy and some moderators or some shit had to reset all the damage we did.


but we were straight cash money trillionares.

apple if you get it cheap, netflix is ok, fand freeport mcmoran is reall good. I have a good amt of shares of them and i made $900 in one day (real money, not a game). And that company is going to split shares soon. So say you buy 5 shares now, you will have 10 soon, so you double your earnings pretty much. Any gold and mining companies are pretty good right now.

sorry about a 3 week late response but they're mainly shale oil companies in the US and Canada, doing well currently with foreign prices rising and winning legal battles domestically.
