Spark notes at the end.
Story:
Two months ago, December holiday, the French Alps for the first time back on skis in 12 years’ time, I a couple of days had progressed quickly from someone who couldn’t even turn without tumbling down the slope to someone who could go down French red slopes thanks to my private teacher (she was hot btw), I was so stoked to be skiing again after all those years, I was quite literally skiing all day long,
One day I was skiing alone through the woods next to a piste, at the end of the woods there is this steep section you have to go down to get to the lifts. At the edge of the woods there was a kid’s ski class, they went down one by one towards their teacher. I just waited. The last girl to go accidentally managed to lose her ski and she was panicking instead of just leaving here there like a couple of people who just blazed past her, I decided to help her put here ski back on and helped her get down the steep section her instructor saw this and he gave me a thumbs up.
Fast-forward 6 hours later, SUPER busy at the lifts, waiting in HUGE line, ski class comes down the hill. Same teacher, he spots me, and lets me go into the reserved line for ESF (French ski school) instructors and their pupils meaning I could go on the lift instantly and skip past many people.
For the rest of the vacation, every single time I saw him he let me go through the ESF gates so I could skip past all the people waiting in the lift-lines just because I helped this kid and probaly saved him from climbing up a steep hill. He was such a chill dude. Karma does exist.
SPARKNOTES: Helped little girl down to her ski class, because of this her ski instructor let me go through ESF reserved lift gates thus skipping past tons of people. Karma baby.
Anyone else had, skiing related karma like this?
