i feel like pecs are something that doesn't really get worked unless you specifically work them at the gym, so i'm surprised at these numbers coming out of all you ns'ers

There is prob nothing you could do in the gym that would help you skiing less than bench. At least use dumbells you'll have to use a little balance and core stability.

he shouldve had two on both sides and one in the middle, then the weights shouldnt have been clipped so if it was too much he could just move his bar to the side and the weights would fall off

working out should only be done in the summer! i stopped benching because i felt for size incline works better for me but i did close grip 300 so my 1rm for bench would be around there. pretty sick how many people are putting up >250 on NS considering the stereotypical skier is a twig

It's 295 lbs, he's not a powerlifter going for a national record. He was using suicide grip, his hands were sweaty so it slipped. Also, with weight like that if you dump to the left or right you end up tearing muscles in your stomach. True story, I've seen it.

guy I went to school with weighed 155 and could bench 235- and he was pennsylvania state wrestling champ

and yet all these 14 year olds are saying they weigh around the same as him and can bench more



ill give you some truth for me

I weigh 185- bench 260 squat 415 dead lift 385- in the sumer at least- i dont work out all winter due to skiing

I haven't been able to do more than 135 since December. Fucking skiers thumb, I can't do bench, shoulder press, or dips right now. It just hurts to put too much weight on my palms. Anyone else had it hurt this long? I'm getting frustrated.

I havn't benched since highschool but I was at 235 then and I weighed 172.8 usually.

Now I could prolly bench 170 if I was lucky.

a lot of this thread is bs, not a chance there's that many people who are that strong.

i'm 180 lbs, been lifting for 7 years, age 23, and i'm only maxing out at 255... and that's just average or even weak for most of the people who have been doing it and who are as serious about it as i am that are my age.


i can't even believe most of the numbers....if you're going to claim a number, qualify it by providing your age and how long you've been lifting for.

I believe it. I work at the gym at school here, and there are two or three guys in the 160's who put up over 300. It's nuts seeing smaller people that strong, but some people don't gain much weight and/or are freaky strong for their size.

yeah man it def exists. i mean think about powerlifters...shorter arms and legs make it easier to lift heavier (physics wise).

I was just at the gym and I came up with another possible explanation. You fuckers have a ROM of about 3 inches. It's amazing the kind of weight you can push when your ROM is the size of your prepubescent cock.
