Stair set features in park??

Ok so lately ive seen many park edits with a random ass staircase that most people just ride down. or slide half a rail then jump onto the stairs next to it. What are your feelings toward this type of feature?? cuz i know i question the steezyness of sliding half a rail to ride down some stairs.

I love stair sets. blue has a few. i could only find one when I went satuday but I remember there being two other ones when I went last year. You can jump it, grind it, hike it. it's practically rollerblading just on skis. Plus there's usually 3 different types of rails. the one i was hitting had a down ledge in the middle, and two rails on the sides. one was square one as round I think.

Are you kidding me? Try a FIRECRACKER once and you'll be addicted to it.

Plus, it's awesome when people slide the stairs. I haven't tried it personally, but it is a great display of skill.

Adding a staircase to a rail obviously upps the technicality. Unfortunately, my mountain is only setting up their staircases at half length this year, so it makes it too easy.

I've 180ed them before, hard landing but fun. Being a skateboarder that's one of the first thing that came to mind besides the obvious handrail.

Oh yeah, there is an alternative lip set up, so you can jump over the rail and land on the stairs. There are so many options that a staircase can open up.

i have seen this a lot in ian compton's weak, i think a lot of it lately thru line is to premote the durability of the a-bang, instead of grinding its so durable u can just ride it down the stairs!! yay

some mountains have staircases with rubber stairs that flex a little so they wont hurt as much nowadays right?

staircases onhill are pretty cool i guess. sure they look a bit silly and sort of are, but it opens up a lot of options and makes the consequences a bit higher. plus, i think i wouldve liked to hit a staircase at the hill before hitting real street rails if i had had the chance back then. oh well

Go fast, and lean back a little. The faster you go, the easier it is, you have no reason to fear the firecracker.

The idea is not to fall of halfway onto the stairs.

doing tricks on a proper hand rail over a stair set is some of the most legit skiing there is.

stairs are sick, especially with rails or boxes, but hurt like fuck to fall on. bear has a pretty cool stair set without rails, just a big ass gap. followed magoon off it once claim.

it's kind of like manualing down the stairs. but it makes a lot of noise and would probably sound like a firecracker. hence the name.

Snowmass has it. It's just a hard plastic resin (i think) rather than concrete, which would have to be permanent and is immovable. The plasticy resiny material makes light so you can haul it around when needed.

Stair features are awesome! You can do a ton of things you normally couldn't do. like stair gaps. and firecrackers. seymour has got it going on for stair features, peep it guys

Nothing beats going ham through the park and busting out a mean old firecracker.

I'll see how switch crackers go this weekend, I have so much fun with regular ones that I forgot about the other possibilities.

I am fortunate enough to have two staircases in a line. The first one is a legit urban setup, but the second one has this ride on box that isn't worth my time, perfect for crackin out on. Gotta love scaring children and gapers.

and... that's enough about firecrackers from me, I think I have talked about them 5 times already. I just want everyone to have a good time.

The sets that I have seen are made of composite decking material. Think of a 'plasticy' substance that can come close to wood. Rubber... no, so I think you are correct in most cases.
