I figured out why, when I encounter a long & steep chute; or an open bowl full of crud and mank, I cannot turn. I always seem to straightline anything and everything. It has become somewhat problematic. I find myself lapping trams in a matter of seconds rather than minutes. Nobody wants to ski with me. I have finally gotten to the bottom if it all. The reason being, nobody ever taught me how to turn. Here is the proof:
