Snowboard boots on skis?

I saw a guys in the terrain park but didnt get a chance to talk to him. It looked like he had snowboard boots on with clips on them, then in ski bindings. It was really wierd; can anyone shed some light on this for me.....what was he wearing?

Dude, sounds like that would work as well as gluing a tissue box to your skis and using that for a boot.

A guy at my shop wants to mount snowboard bindings on skis just to fuck around on. We will do it once we get some time and can find some old binders.

So basically a split board with locked binders? There's a ski patroller guy that only rides his split board as skis so basically same concept

my buddy snowboards and his boots fit in to all my old bindings except my FKS with out popping out. i think it may be the way his 32's are shaped.

those look like rollerblades and I feel inclined to try them. not that I will get the chance. if they're anything like my skates then they're stiff as fuck. the lower shells on my il moros bend when I flex. the lower shell on my skates doesn't budge a bit. carbon fiber if weaved the right way is super stiff.

i saw these at sia they seem like they would be very comfortable, and you can take the snowboard boot part out and use them as well so its like 2 boots in one, also if you already have a nice pair of snowboard boots that you like you can purchace only the ski boot part and put your own snowboard boots in them

theres like a flext band thing on the back of the boot from like the heel to partway below the calf. if it can have a stiff flex then it could work very nicely

No not a splitboard; it was like he modified a snowboard binding and added plastic to it to lock into a ski binding. Now that no one has come up with a solid answer it make me wish i asked.

basically would function like a shitty version of the spk. only 2 "buckles" that are placed in awkward positions. Skiers need good forward flex, unlike snowboarders, in order to have good control on the mountain.

HAha i was these guys at glen eden during the march break. was just riding into the line and looking down and saw these snowboard boots + ski bindings. i was like what the fuck and the guy just looked at me and smiled (no homo). then at the top he did some rollerblade stuff. looked pretty legit to me.

i rode my buddies skis today with my snowbaord boots on lol it didt work at all.. foot stayed in because boots are soft and bindings were ticght on them.. but i slipped out after a 180 lol.. really fun though
