I was just wondering this...Its only in certain spots my jackets dirty but I'd like to clean them because they smell..
Would regular laundry detergent on a rag do anything to the waterproofing if I just did it lightly then kind of rubbed it off?
Also, How does steam affect the performance of a jacket? I have a handheld steamer that id Love to use to make it all crispy and new looking again and Im obviously not going to take an iron to it.. anybody know?
there's a care label inside your jacket, and the soap shouldn't ruin your jacket, a shitty machine will. i don't suggest you put it in the dryer at all, because nylon melts, but if you do, then you should put it on air dry, cool dry, or any type of cold drying, whatever your machine calls it. also suggest washing it in cold water.
