I know that there is a thread made to eliminate these types of threads but i simply know too little about bindings so i need some "expert" advice. I am a pretty aggressive skier so i would say type III, im 125 lbs and about 5'6''. The bindings are going to be center mounted on surface no times. Some of the bindings i have looked at are:Rossignol FreeSki 120, 4frnt deadbolt, head mojo 12, px 12 jib, and FKS 140 but i don't think i really need a din that goes up to 14.
im looking for a lightweight binding and I'm a bit worried that the px 12 jib's and the freeski 120's might be a little heavy.

Some input would be awesome and +k to responses.

sparknotes: 125 pounds, 5'6'' what are some good, lightweight binders for surface no times

Binding weight really doesn't matter. The PX12 is a pretty good inexpensive binding for lighter skiers.

yeah i know, but i have heard that they are very heavy and that kind-of worried me aha. Have you owned a pair of skis with the px 12 jibs?

I would strongly recommend the head mojo/tyrolia peak/4frnt deadbolt. They are all the exact same made in the same factory, I like them because they are very safe due to a rotating heal piece and a vertical toe relies plus bomb proof durability, they are also really light for a binding with so much metal, I say get whichever one of those you think looks best, I think. This binding is underrated and everyone gets caught up in the fks. I personnally think that the head mojo might be the best binding on the market Go for it

thanks +k to you and owns the park. Im kind of leaning twords the freeski 120's because i can get them on the same site as my skis.

The px 12's are a good binding..their weight doesn't affect you as much as you think it will, if you have the money for it go for the fks

 this! they are also really really light in comparison, def will blow the shit outa dildo bindings(rossi/look px)

You will not pre release too often with the FKS, they have awesome elasticity so you can recover from almost ejecting, it's a pretty bomber binding in terms of durability, and it is very safe. It's also a cult binding, meaning people become so obsessed with the binding that they buy several pairs for the future.

As much as I love my Mojo 18x... Nothing beats a Rossignol Heel piece.

im sure there will be haters, but for me the marker griffon bindings are perfect. they are light, durable (so much abuse and still hold) and i released exactly when neccesary :)

durability is a MAJOR factor with marker griffons. 3 of my friends had them this season and all 3 of theirs broke in a different way. another friend has the jesters and his are still holding up, but i will never buy marker bindings.

on the other hand, i have had FKS 14 and STH 16s. both of them are superb in the park and i've had no problems with either. i would strongly suggest those for a good park binding. they will last you a long time.

Thats wierd, because 2 other friends of mine have them, are aggressive skiers and all hold..
as asked for a lightweight binding this is a good one..

Got with the FKS140s or Mojo15s if your shop has them. They are the same design as the 12s, but in all metal. With both those bindings you spend a little more, but your gonna have a set of bindings that will last years, from one ski to another, to another.

I have PX 12s jib on my skis and they are AMAZING...they are a tiny bit heveay but to compensate they are awsome and very durable with any kind of ski/boot....i would strongley recomend them for a pretty inexspensive binding.

Im pretty sure the cool thing with the fks is the heal piece can rotate 360 degrees making it very hard to tear your ACL in turn makes em safer. I have never had them before so I can't say much this is just what my brother told me

all of them were lightweight kids.

either your friends:
a. Got lucky and have a very good pair
b. dont ski them as hard
c. or bought them very recently

head mojos and marker griffons/jesters etc. if you want a "lighter binding"  i use both on two pairs of skis.  I use to ride px12s and rossi sas series, what i have now is way better

if you want a slightly more burly binding that is almost indestructible, go fks
