out of interest, what skis did they warranty?

there were a couple things. first was a binding rip that happened probably two weeks into having them (started riding them at the start of january). seems like the section of core they were in was a weird fluke because it was a lot softer. everywhere else on the ski was super solid. i had them heli-coiled and that pretty much solved the problem but decided to warranty them when i got worried about the ski just up and snapping right there

the other thing was a weird delam in front of the toe-piece. where the ski flexed, the glue kinda popped so the top sheet was pulling away from the rest of the ski. this developed probably about a month ago.

i told surface what happened and they were super helpful. which im stoked about because other than this, i love the way these skis flex, pop, and ride, especially switch

will they warenty my one lifes due to a core shot? i filled it with p-tex. highly dought they will

No chance, it's a core shot it's not the manufactures fault at all, nor does it affect the ski as long as you fill it in.

by binding rip are you talking about the bolts ripping out or am i way off target? cause i had some 9 lifes that did that had them remounted and they eventually led to the ski snapping which they warranteed no questions asked which was awesome, got my new surface no times and first day riding them the bolts completely ripped out, aside from that both hella fun skis from an awesome company just didnt nkow if anyone else had similar problems

ive had similar problems.... with both watch lifes and nine lifes. binding ripped out of both. my watch lifes also snapped.

yeah the screws on one of my heelpieces ripped out of the core

It definitely sounds like it was either a bad mount or a fluke in the core. I'm gonna go with a bad mount.

it seems like it would, but they day it ripped, i took it to the shop on the mountain so the tech could just redrill a cm back and just adjust my heelpiece right.

well when he drilled the new holes, put the screws and tightened with a torque-limiting screwdriver, they continued to strip out. it still may have been from core rot from the previous mount letting water in but who knows.

what it comes down to is that surface treated me super legit and i just had a blast today riding on my no times again

Sounds like the core did probably rot and you got a defect pair. Glad to hear another person was greatly helped by the dudes at surface. I ripped about an inch of edge out on my underfoot along with about an inch of the base gone, too on my doubletimes from excessive skiing. When I bought those skis back in october, I told them that I would be competing a lot this season and they thought it was pretty damn sick that a kid was repping their brand. I talked to office rob at surface and he hooked me up with a replacement pair. Needless to say the surface dudes are awesome.
