It will be topped in 13 days. Scranton PA has the 2nd largest st patricks parade in the country. The city has 69,000 residents, on Parade Day there are over 120,000 people in the city. And every kid is at the University of Scranton. Drinking starts around 7am and doesn't stop, I highly suggest giving it a try.
Anyways, here is a little recap of some of the incidents:
-”Happy State Patty’s Day” spray painted on the exterior of the McAllister Street parking deck.
-A male was taken to the hospital after passing out in the Days Inn hotel on Pugh Street.
-A large crowd gathered on the 400 E. Beaver Ave. block to watch passer-bys fall on the icy sidewalks.
-A call about a male who screamed “I’m gonna kill her.” The male was gone on arrival.
-A cueball was thrown through a window on South Pugh Street.
-A 19-year-old male, believing it was a friend’s home, attempted to enter a house on the 400 block of Martin Terrace. The house did not belong to his friend and he was later taken to the hospital.
-A 20-year-old male, while walking home, continued to fall down on the sidewalk near Joe Pa’s house on McKee Street. He was picked up and taken to the hospital, where he later became disorderly and was retrained and sedated. The male was cited for misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges.
-A Virginia Tech student furnished alcohol to one Penn State student and two Slippery Rock students at Hamilton Square Friday evening.
-A call came in reporting students were crawling out of a CATA bus’ windows.
