Compressor for Mac

I don't like the results I'm getting compressing this .mov file I made in FCP. Does anyone have a good setup that will maintain video quality? I've tried a few, but when I use the Youtube settings, for example, I end up with a 4KB file that doesn't do anything.

Tips?

This may not be it, but right click and it should say archive. This will make a .zip copy of it. Hope this helps

That's true, but I need a compressed file so I can load it up to NS, Vimeo, etc.

And for some reason it went from 1.31 GB to 1.3 GB. So that's not helping even with space on my harddrive, damn.

make sure you are using file--export--quicktime conversion then follow these settings from vimeo. i sware by them

Fucking awesome Jwenz and Heath. Down to 123.2 MB and it looks and sounds just as good as before. I was exporting straight to Quicktime without changing bitrate and such, I'm a fool.

And to you ^^^^, if you follow the compression guidelines Jwenz posted from Vimeo I imagine you should be able to export properly in just about any program. I know these will work in Adobe as well.
