59.94 but i mean if your settings are for 1080p60p id assume they'd set the 59.94 automatically. It's never 60fps is 59.94.

Well, i just assumed the higher the better, but then again it's only a .6 difference and 60 is probably only a rounded number anyways. Whatever, sorry for attempting to help.

Why are you always so god damn negative. Jesus christ . I was just trying to help out. Jesus I know i was wrong and I admitted it. I think we could have just left it at that. And also I barely ever post in NSG because the shits just annoying, I like posting in M&A because believe or not, even though i came off as a giant fool up above because I didnt really read the thread at all , as I read the thread again i noticed it was in a subject area i have no experience in so I told you to just ignore me because I was wrong.
I do know somethings about computers and cameras and like to try and do my part to help out sometimes. Sorry for trying to helpful.
Sorry for rant, Im just tired and frustrated and also dont want to be labeled as one of those 'NSG kids"

The reason its 59.94 is because when they switched from black and white tv to color they need to slightly adjust it for a color signal for broadcast purposes, its essentially 60p

thanks u man
so lets say i wish to create proxy files which are half the frames per second for editing purposes (and speed), then i choose 29.97 rather 30 rite? or would it be better if i just simply preserved the 59.97 original framerate for proxy files
and if i want 2 exported in lower framerate, again it is 29.97 rather than 30 rite?

"liek you way 120? Well fks 18s will be perfect for you" That one is my favourite
Ya in the import it is always 59..94 fps or whatever it is. I have never seen it at exactly 60fps

Go to wiki and look at NTSC standards it will explain the technical reasons why it's 59.94 instead of 60

There is zero logic to this. Please learn what you are talking about before telling this guy to harm his footage.
When working with the footage on a computer, integer frame rates are pragmatically decimal values.
ex: 24p = 23.98
30p = 29.97
60p = 59.97
