so what exactly happened? does anyone know why all those pigs were killed? because it's definitely not for food... so? situations like this really annoy the fuck out of me because i really hate wasting shit, especially bacon. but seriously. i'm so annoyed with the over production and amount of waste we produce.

So if I raise and kill one pig for feeding my family, you would have no preblem with me disemboweling it while it's still alive. oh that wouldn't be humane.

We farm animals, get used to it. I'm not saying farming practices cannot be improved, they can. I'm just saying if you want the convenience of a pig slab in a grocery store some of this shit is gonna go down from time to time.

We pretty much have our shit together. The pigs needed to die, but it was wrong that they went about it this way. And I don't need to do anything, Korea is obviously not going to listen to the U.S. because the same thing goes on here. making us the hypocrite's.

why would you have any reason too? Humans feel some sort of compassion, at least some of them do. A lion doesnt have a humane way to kill a zebra nor does it give a fuck because its lion and doesnt feel sympathy like a human.

My point was humans have been the worst beings to ever live on this planet as far as the damage we have caused. Humans for some reason get all up in arms when dogs get massacred, but are quick to overlook the horrible things that happen to other animals that arent "mans best friend" on a daily basis

Pretty sure a lion could rip the throat out of a zebra and it would be just as humane as a kosher kill performed by a human. Good point on them not having compassion though.

That second statement is just false. Look up some of those groups that jenifa posted up there and see all the poor animals they are fighting for. Work horses?? Freedom for bears??? Reindeer Cruelty?? they seem to care about a lot more than mans best friend.

my only point with that photo was that mother nature doesn't give one shit about humane killing. So compared to having your guts ripped out being burried alive doesn't seem that bad to me.

Also, I'm pretty sure your supposed to lambast and then back it up with a point. If you just fly off the handle and not back it up with some sort of logical argument you look just as unintelligent.

b.)i thought it was pretty clear that the whole issue people were taking with it (whether they would have thought about it this way or not) was that it's pretty awful to kill a bunch of animals with highly developed brains, nervous systems, and concepts of sociality, for no reason necessary to survival or health, and basically just cause they're too cheap to do something better with them/dispose of them in a humane way. sure, mother nature has produced some pretty hardass killers, but the whole argument of natural fate and evolutionary justification for *this* sort of killing rings totally false if 1.) it's not for tangible survival or betterment of the species or 2.)you want to claim that human beings are, in anyway, a more "developed" species. a "developed" species should have developed beyond the point where you can justify any action as "well, it's able to be done, so it must be morally justified."

There are so many horrible farms out there such as this one. Why don't you kiddos go visit your local kill house and figure out that every animal you eat has to be killed, and every way is going to seem inhumane. It's horrible.

This on the other hand is aweful, They obviously aren't going to supply bullets or any other way of killing them because they are that lazy and stingy with their cash. Hundred bullets wouldn't of costed them that much.

And about the pigs: If those pigs had some diseases, then whatever. Kill them and what not. At least that wasn't in canada where they club seals and shoot huskies.
