I work at place where they wield together pipe for water treatment plants. And some of the left over scrap pieces get tossed. So i finally convinced my employer to let me take home a 12 foot piece of pipe 4" in diameter to use as rail at my house. Anyways...
So my question is would i have to do any prepping to this pipe to make it slideable for skis. it has been setting in the rain/snow for about 3 months now, probably galvanized steel because thats what i work with. and what would be a good way of getting up or beams to get it off the ground and keep it sturdy from rolling around because i would like to use it in my summer set up but it is only 4" tall and my kicker on the end up of my setup is like 8"
