p-tex will chip off quite easily if you use it on the topsheet. If the chip is down to the core then dripping a lil it of p-tex in the hole will help it from getting worse. if the p-tex you drip on isnt flush with the topsheet then it will chip off quite easily. if at all possible use epoxy its perfect for topsheet chipping. im pretty sure they sell clear epoxy at home depot
Sometimes you get bits of the weave that weren't saturated in resin when the ski was built, or for whatever reason... they stick out like frayed bits of string and will wick water. Considering it only takes 10 seconds to put a blob of epoxy on them... better safe than sorry.
I'm pretty sure jb weld is fully rigid, so as soon as the ski flexes the repair would pop right out. Like people were saying, get epoxy if you're really worried.
