a lincoln loop is a full inversion without a rotation. ie. a barrel roll.
a kangaroo flip is a double. its a flatspin 3 into a rodeo 5. pretty much looks like a double rodeo 9 but when its done properly its a flat 3 into rodeo 5.
I don't really know what it is. Everyone on this thread is saying something different. It happens with almost every ski trick. I'm just embedding the video for the kid above me.
When Jon and Jacob were doing them in 2008, they both went inverted on the flips. Inverted = rodeo. Not inverted = Flat. Is it close? Absolutely. Does it really matter? No. If it's too tough to tell whether your flatspin is flat or rodeo, you aren't doing them very well.
No. When the trick was "invented" it was defined as a double flat 9 (go ask Jon yourself). However these days, kangaroo flip is used commmonly for both dub rod and dub flat 9s - but its so damn close it really doesn't matter anyway.
i guess thats one way to looks at it, but an easy way to look at it comparatively is: rotations around x-axis: front/backflip, around y-axis: spins(360), and rotating around the z-axis is a lincoln. pretty much all other complicated tricks are based on rotating on two axis at once, going off axis (corking it alittle or just going completely inverted)
I'm gonna have to disagree because I've also thrown dub misty 9's and 10's and they feel quite a bit different to set. Also you can see the flat rotation if you pause or slow down especially in the second half.
Well fuck it the original youtube name was dub misty 9 until about 20 of my friends thoroughly convinced me it was a dub flat. And to Shanek I am sorry to represent the downfall of the NS community.
you need to relax, it was one simple mistake. And why shouldn't he speak up, all you had to tell him was the trick he was actually doing.. instead of being an asshole about it. And btw I do agree it was a dub misty and not a dub flat
