"Bluewood sucks"

I moved to the Tri-cities last year and everyone said 'Bluewood sucks' so I never went until this last week...

2/16 - 17" - lost camera, free snowmobile rides to Vitners Ridge
2/20 - 11" (since Wednesday) - found camera...amazingly
2/23 - 28" (includes Tuesday, during which they are closed) - One the funnest days I have EVER had

Bluewood is cheap ($21 all day), uncrowded (maybe 75 cars in the parking lot), and the snow is LIGHT. Plus about 75% (conservative estimate) of the people that go there only stick to the marked runs.

The down side is lack of vertical...the lift is manageable. The trees are fantastic and there are many fun little drops that you can make as big as you want.

As you can tell my view is skewed since I've only hit it on powder days but I'm just saying that this is quite the fun little mountain when the snow is good/great.

Yesterday was so sick, maybe I saw you up there (I have a tan jacket and gray pants). Bluewood is sweet for skiing pow and shitty for anything else. Plus there are no real drops or steep terrain...but yesterday was my best day of the year at any ski area.
