not too sure how a ski just gets destroyed like this.. ive had them for about a month, and we didnt have much of a park so, someone explain how this happens... or why nordica wont warranty them? just frustratinggg.
pretty sure they are saying its impact damage, just because you land on your tail and snap the core doesn't mean you get a new pair. If the ski falls apart because of your doing, no company will warranty it. And yes they can tell when its a defect and not.
I'm guessing you landed directly on the tail and then subjected the ski to huge force when you didnt release from the ski, probably because you have your bindings set wrong.
If you shoot a ski straight into a concrete wall at 40mph, thats impact damage.
If you replace the wall with hardpack snow, thats still impact damage.
If you land at just the right angle and auger the ski tip into the snow when airing a large jump, you're essentially subjecting the ski to the same type of force, and the resulting damage... is impact damage.
Good luck finding a company that has a warranty policy that covers this. Some will cover similar damage just to be nice to the customer, but they dont have to be nice and do that.
