Section 3 of DOMA unconstitutional.

Wasn't sure what to title this thread, just read this.

Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which defines marriage for federal purposes as only between a man and a woman.
The President has also concluded that Section 3 of DOMA, as applied to legally married same-sex couples, fails to meet that standard and is therefore unconstitutional. Given that conclusion, the President has instructed the Department not to defend the statute in such cases.

no one cares thats why, i dont give a shit if 2 people from the same sex get married it wont affect me.

That's why I think it's a big deal. Personally I think it's bullshit that something that most people consider "doesn't effect them" to be against the whole constitution of your very country...
