Andy Fantuz, who lead the Canadian Football League in receiving yardage last season, has become a Chicago Bear.

The 27-year-old Canadian announced Friday via Twitter that he had signed a deal with the NFL Bears. A CFL free agent, Fantuz had worked out for several NFL teams, including the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts and the AFC champion Pittsburgh Steelers, who will play in Sunday's Super Bowl.

Fantuz spent five seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and last season caught 87 passes for 1,380 yards and six touchdowns.



This is gonna be sick. If he can make the cut he'll be a great addition to Chicago.
