my mom's an emergency room nurse and often works triage, and tells me stories about how people come in saying theyre in the worst pain imaginable when they break their ankle or cut their hand open with a knife or something, and theyre borderline going into shock. she says it happens a lot too. people come in, riving in pain, screaming and cant even sit still, and part of her gig is to ask them on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the worst pain ever) how bad is it, and they always say "it's a 10! it's a 15!" and that sort of shit.
sooooo, having all your limbs cut off by a hacksaw while your nuts are slowly being crushed in a vice and needles are impaling your eyeballs while youre in a furnace with your skin starting to melt off couldn't be any more painful than the pain youre currently in? i find that hard to believe.
people are such headcases..
if only that were the case
meanwhile people are bleeding to death or dying of internal trauma and have to just sit tight in the waiting room cause all the beds are full with people who are fat and have a sore tummy
