So I just went on the FIS freestyle website to see if I could find anything on the slopestyle comp at PC. They dont even have slopestyle listed under their events or anywhere on their website, unless I am mistaken by thinking they now had slopestyle. Also under descriptions of each event there were extensive descriptions of moguls, arials and skiercross. But only a sentence or two for halfpipe, only to say
"The halfpipe competition takes place in a half-cylinder-shaped course dug deep into the hill. Using speed gained on the slope, skiers come up over the rim of the pipe and perform acrobatic aerial tricks. The object of the halfpipe is to perform difficult tricks with perfect form."
This is my rant. I think everyone on NS agrees with my views towards FIS.
