Hey, I'm Chris and I want to buy some skis for mainly the east coast with maybe a Utah/Colorado trip every once in a while. I'm and intermediate-advanced level skier and I ski 65% all mountain 35% park. I'm 15, 5'8" and about 130lbs.I've been looking at Line Chronic Cryptonites but would be open to other skis(El Reys?), but my budget is around $500 without bindings. Any advice?
the cryptonites would be awesome for your preferences. They are stiffer so if you plan on doing some butters you might want to look into a softer ski. But if your 65% all mountain you'll want a stiffer ski, so the cryptos would be perfect. I've had mine for two years and they rip everything. and a 92 waist will be just enough for your trips out west.
Thanks man, I was pretty confident it was a good choice, but your reassurance is just what I needed. I was kinda worried because I had some trouble finding reviews online.
173 might be a tad short but if you like the length its a pretty cheap deal. They also have a deal where you can get a pair of PX12 jibs and the skis for 500.
