I need a copy before March 1, so I actually ended up getting one from someone who could guarantee I ended up with it on time, seeing as though she would have to ship from Canada.

She got at me right away though, and was super helpful getting pictures up for me. Legit seller, and her copy looks good, people should seriously consider this lens. It's a really great, really sharp pro-grade lens, and she's willing to hear offers!

This is my favorite lens. By far. I have no complaints about it whatsoever. Super contrasty, very sharp, and great quality build. This things a tank. But its worth the weight, trust me.

Buy this lens. Straight up.

Light meters aren't based on electronics they're based on the actual light...derp faggot.


and its 70-200L and the cheapest 70-200 2.8L is probably double the price of this lens for sale...derp fuck head.

Alright, i take that part back. But you still said derp which makes me dislike you. But really, metering doesn't use electronics from the lens.

Well luckily it was only used to be a little doucher. anyway are you sure? we may be talking about different things with metering. I'm referring to using Av, Tv, etc, where the body controls exposure.

I don't do canon but nikon doesn't meter on non-communicating lenses (t mount, old manual lenses, un chipped lenses) and i'd be surprised if canon will meter a lens (outside of Av) that the body can't stop down.

I just mean the light meter that is in your lcd/top screen and in your view finder. It uses light not the electronics, ive used old nikon lenses on my 40d and the light meter worked, just like how they worked on old film cameras, etc. But i get what you're saying.

Lots of the nikon bodies have something in the menu called "Non-CPU lens data", you can set presets for lenses (focal length and max aperture) and then your camera will meter perfectly with your old lens and include all the appropriate exif info.
