So i have the afterbangs and i beat the shit out of them with urban and what not (fancy word of the day) but they still work so i was wondering if the domains hold up nicely?
The K2 Domain will hold up to more abuse than the silencer since it is a better more expensive ski from them. It is not a cap ski like the silencer so it will be more durable. Ive never skied them but from what friends have told me they hold up very well. Also k2's unique sidewalls are good and do resist chipping better, yes i realize that topsheet chipping is only cosmetic but its still worth mentioning.
Get the domains my friend. K2 has great durability. The ski is a solid rail ski for sure, that is what it was mainly designed for. The topsheet will chip but the ski will ski the same.
Ive had the k2 disorderlys for 2 years and i ski a shit ton of rails, took it on brick and concrete too. Only one edge crack, no core shots, just a scratched top sheet. Get them!
My domains are awesome! Most fun ski I've ever ridden.
Only bad thing that's happening is I ran nose first into a stump and the tip of one ski has begun delaminating. The edge/base a separating from the rest of the ski... I'm not very happy about that, but I did get them for $150... So I can't really complain.
yea i have the domains and they are super playful and buttery. i got the 169 and wishing i went longer.. the no camber paired with 30 percent rocker on tip and tail makes them kind of iffy at high speeds. ive ridden on concrete and anything else and they are fine. holding up great.
