dude, 90 percent of the kids parents on this website are OBVIOUSLY REPUBLICAN. So for you to think ns is some liberal haven you are candyflipping on crack. i do agree with liberals because cause they want legalization, but im a libertarian.I think people should have to carry some, if not all, of their own weight... people on welfare should be given amazon kindles and be required to take monthly book quizzes and write book reports to get their full welfare checks.. that would drasticly improve americas intelligence chasm between donald trump and the crack dealer who cuts his drugs with stuff that ends up killing his clientelle, making him poor again.
other than that, you have to understand fox news is not about protecting rich people. If intel, microsoft, dell, dupont moved to other countries... aka if we all deported bill gates and mark zuckerburg because they are "evil rich people" america would literally, become a second world country. i dont mind poor people at all, i have tons of friends whose families really struggle. but if you had it your way, you would make class warefare with a mega progressive tax.

COUNTRIES COMPETE. Japan has a high quality of life because their cars out compete somalian cars... does that make sense to you? If we are no longer the country that produces windows, and the best microchips in the world, then we will be like brazil... smart people down their, but not competing with mercedes and vw and microsoft and apple and intel and yamaha and honda and toyota.
Brazil is so far behind producing a car that would compete with a vw, they will never catch up.
america is already out of the game automotively. We should have let gm fail, and instead of bailing them out use the money to expand intel and microsoft and apple, making sure that america has at least a few companies which DOMINATE in their respective area.

and no matter how much or little is spent on the poor, living in poverty in a rich country is better than living in poverty in a poor one, or for that matter, being middle class in a socialist country like the soviet union.
