Binding Question...Weight vs. Durability vs. Functionality

I am asking mainly for opinion here. My dilemma is this, I am looking for a new pair of bindings to slap on a new pair of Public Enemies. I want to keep the set-up as light as possible, but I do not want to sacrifice durability and functionality for weight. Keep in mind that I will be using these out of the park as well, but mainly skiing in the park with them. So here's what I am asking for:

-Your set-up
-Your opinion on the set-up
-Any problems you have run into with the bindings/overall set-up.

Thanks in advance. (And if you tell me that the PE sucks, I shouldn't use it outside of the park, I will not listen to you because I have already ridden them and enjoy the ride). Thanks again.

if you weigh over 150lbs, do NOT get the 810's. get look ti's if you can find them, or solly 912 ti's. i actually have a pair of the 810's for sale if you're interested, but like i said, 150lbs is pushing it for those binders.

i think the 810s sacrifice too much on durability/reliability. i would say go with the 912 ti...it is a good binding, or go with a look binding for absolute reliability.


ill be super rich and own mt.hood and let everybody from ns ski for free... except freezed

oh, didn't notice the questions you had on the setup.

i have the 03-04 PEs with Look P10's. they're a little on the heavy side, but they've never prereleased on me, and are extremely durable

yeah i have p10s as well, i love them, they dont prerelease, but if they need to release, they do.

^ Excellent. I have been looking into those bindings for a little while as well. I weigh 145 plus I've still got the growing factor, so I think I'll opt for the Looks. Thanks for your help Freezed and Thejackamo.

^^ Well, looks like I am going to read into this shit a little more. Sorry Soxripper. One more question, can the lifter be removed from the Look P10 binding? I found a good price on the P10 Lifters, but I don't want to ride with the lifter on. Thanks. Im thinking I might need new mounting screws or smaller ones for that matter.

the shop will take care of that for you, when u go in to get them mounted, just remove the lifter from the bindings before you go in. they will either mount them with new screws, or use the old ones and fuck ur skis up and buy you new ones.

i got s912ti's, and i weigh about 185. i broke the heelplate last season sliding a box. i wish i would have gotten 914's just for the durability, because the weight isn't really an issue. i also have a pair of c610's (feel free to laugh all you want) on my shit pair of twins, and surprisingly they've held up fine.
