Haaaaahhhhaaaaaaaaaa. Your posts actually make me laugh. Dead serious.
'I will repeat: When politics gets tough, and Alberta and Quebec feel slighted by the Federal government, they both start talking about taking the easy way out and 'separating' from the motherland, rather than staying and attempting to make positive change. You, and people like you, are pathetic, and are exactly why this country, the best one in the world, is constantly under some separatist threat. Congratulations on having a mediocre mind and work ethic, especially when it comes to politics.'
So us voting for conservatives so to have a CHANGE of goverenment, in your eyes, because you yourself do not agree, is not attempting CHANGE. Contradiction by chance?
Although I agree that Canada is a great country it is not the best. At least according to the UN, which seems to mean so much to many with non-'mediocre' minds.
In threatening seperation, we are in fact trying to make positive change- for Albertans, because to some the west (yes where you live too) is not all that important to Canada anyway. This does not necassarily mean seperation is imminent and an eventual sure thing. Although it wouldn't be too bad if it was.
So are you willing to tell the other roughly 65% of Albertans that they too have mediocre minds. Perhaps you are forgetting which province currently and usually has the best economy. And when compared to the quality of education, takes Onterrible anyday. (I hope you like that comment.)
This may seem vague to you, but perhaps you forgot the Tory Famous 5, overcoming suffrage, were Albertans. If I'm not mistaken, head down to the bus station and there you may refamiliarize yourself with them. (I may be wrong here, but I believe that's what that park is dedicated to. Afterall, my mind is only mediocre.)
Yes I too hope that the conservatives will not steamroll 'massive social and political changes.' I hear one of the changes is spending more money on healthcare and infrastructure. Completely unheard of. Even revolutionary. I dont think you need the conservatives to steamroll anything. Its all flat already.
'In fact, if you look at most of the country, with the exception of farming provinces, a majority of people voted for significant social change..'
True, but the majority of Canadian people live in Urban centers and are not as in touch as they probably should be with rural Canada, or as you call it 'provinces where backwoods values and intolerance still rule.' {I mean Gophers have rights too!} Unfortunately, these people do not always get the chance to see what issues are more important than a few minor social issues. Not really their fault. All these people voting for these significant changes sure do have patience, however. You seem so concerned with Canada's plight, yet some provinces seem to mean nothing to you. As is seemingly implied by the above quote.
Instead lets vote in, yet again, a Party that steals. Theifery is definetly a forwards quality. Now it may not have been Martin himself, but do you honestly think he doesn't know something. Its funny how people can so readily believe something one politician says and at the same time disbelieve another and simply let the media tell you what to think of him. I'm reasonably sure that Harper is actually the devil himself. Admittedly, Martin is better than Cretien, but not near good enough.
Now, feel free to shove this reply up your filthy, self-contradicting, ruralphobic (made up, but the words with phobe have been doing well lately) ass. Consider it something you've been doing, figuratively, for the last 12 years and will continue to do so. And something you'll literally have to do to make money so that you can eat because you take it for granted now.
PS: Im only being harsh and making some inane assumptions because you did so first. If you want to argue so-called social issues, see other threads because I have a feeling that that will come.
PPS: BC is welcome to join.
