so my griffons exploded and im returning them to backcountry... ill be skiing alot of park and mounting them on my domains what should i get? and will i have any problems getting them center mounted because this will be the second mount?
Salomon, Look/Rossi, Tyolia and Griffon/Jester all have screws pretty much in the same location at the toe so you'll have to mount about 12mm forward or back to dodge the old holes if you switch to a different brand. Just get Jesters if you want to stay in the same spot.
depends how much switch landing your doing, if your breaks catch with FKS youl need a new heelpiece because its pretty much one piece and the whole thing will blow or rip off, sth the brake will just explode and its 20 dollars for a new brake
Not exactly, the FKS brakes are "integrated" into the heel assembly, but by no means one piece. Also, I have never heard of an FKS heel exploding because a brake got caught, those brake arms are rather flimsy and would snap off before it ripped apart a full metal housing. My brakes have caught numerous times, and all that has been required is a little re-bending.
