But it was my fault. I was concussed, so I don't know what went wrong with my attempted rodeo 540, but my ski broke downwards near the tail, so I think it was hucked and super over-rotated on some axis. I was out cold for what I dunno a few seconds? You never really know when your solo. But I got up in front on the patrollers and skied down to the close-by hut, and was completely out of it.
Whatever, now:
-Need new helmet
-Have headache for a while
-no skiin for 2 weeks (pow in the forcast, too)
-$400 ambulance bill (thank you, for asking me about insurance while my memory was still fried 5 mins after)
-Broken ski of this year
The ski is fixable so basically it's all just a $500 headache, pun intended.
And listen...WEAR YOUR HELMET, DUMMIES! Brain damage is a whole world of a hurt when you think about it. Boy, am I grateful.
