Hey,

Has anyone been there? How are the parks? Overall, is it a quality resort?

I went there last year. Terrain variety was good as well as the terrain park. But the snow suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked. As in i had to buy new skis because the rocks tore the shit out of them. But the snow is probably better this year.

Also, put this in regionals.

There is a very good reason for it being nicknamed Rock Dodge, Montana. But it can be fun at times.

Haha would it be worth going to over one of the big colorado resorts? i heard it costs a lot less

go to whitefish its way better then red lodge and doesnt cost  alot  at all

in this situation you definitely get what you pay for. I've never been to the mountain but the town is tiny, and if you're coming all the way from the east coast you'd be better off going to a better mountain in my opinion. If you're coming all that way you might as well go somewhere sick, whereas this is more of an east coast mountain in the west.

Also, if you're doing the cost comparison, flying to Montana is way more expensive than to Colorado/Utah in my experience.

I wouldn't really consider it a "resort" for lack of a better term it is your typical local ski area. Completely opposite spectrum then the "big Colorado resorts"

ya, to be honest i'd be pissed if I ended up at Red Lodge having come all that way. Whitefish is definitely the best all-around skiing I've had in Montana--super fun mountain. And Big Sky is definitely sick too.....

might have better luck in regionals, but i was out there in the summer and it didnt look too bad. hard to tell in the summer obviously. is there parts of the BT pass you can access in the winter, or do you need a sled to get the good stuff?

i skied there for a couple weeks last year. pretty small place, not uber steep although it had a sweet vibe .. park was ok
